Weld County Legal has already reviewed the document prior to submission to Aims, who has authorized it by signature and needs approval from the Weld County Board of County Commissioners. What options exist for the Board? Support the MOU, which ensures a commitment by Aims to enroll 10 students per year selected by the Sheriffs Office or decline the MOU. Consequences: Declining of MOU would create less predictability for the Sheriffs Office to enroll set numbers of students each calendar year, with enrollment numbers dictated by Aims open enrollment slots. Support of the MOU ensures a minimum number of slots provided to the Sheriffs Office each year. Impacts: Allows the Sheriffs Office to budget expenses and manpower costs more effectively. Costs (Current Fiscal Year/ Ongoing or Subsequent Fiscal Years): No new costs due to MOU, expenses for enrollment is already allocated in 2025 Sheriffs Office Budget. Recommendation: The Sheriffs Office Recommends Support of the Aims POST MOU. Support Recommendation Schedule Place on BOCC Agenda Work Session Other/Comments: Perry L. Buck Scott K. James Jason S.
