WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT MONTH
SEPTEMBER 2025
WHEREAS, workforce development focuses on constructing a skilled and proficient
workforce, not only within Weld County, but also in surrounding regions, through career
counseling, training programs and supportive services; and
WHEREAS, these efforts support veterans, incumbent workers, displaced workers, youth
and young adults along with countless others by using effective, evidence -based
practices and fostering strong relationships with academic and business partners; and
WHEREAS, the goal is to enhance the lives of job seekers and strengthen the economic
vitality of communities by equipping individuals with the skills, training, and support
needed for career success while simultaneously helping businesses grow by connecting
them with a skilled, work -ready talent pool that meets current and future workforce
demands.
NOW THERFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Weld County Board of County Commissioners,
in partnership with Employment Services of Weld County and the Weld County Workforce
Development Board, that September be known as Workforce Development Month.
