Approve Appointments of Rusty Williams as Controller and Chris D'Ovidio as
Assistant Controller for Weld County
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, the Controller position is under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer
and Director of Finance, and
Whereas, the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance is recommending that
Rusty Williams be appointed as the Weld County Controller replacing Chris D'Ovidio, who
has been serving as Interim, and will continue in the role as Assistant Controller, and
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that Rusty Williams and Chris D'Ovidio be, and hereby are, appointed as the
Controller and Assistant Controller, respectively, for Weld County, effective January 21,
2025.
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, adopted the above
and foregoing Resolution, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on
the 29th day of January, A.D., 2025:

Jason S. Maxey: Aye
Lynette Peppier: Aye
Kevin D. Ross: Excused
