RE: APPROVAL OF DESIGNATION OF THE FEDERAL AID
PROGRAM (TOPICS) TYPE II SYSTEM FOR THE CITY OF
GREELEY AS THE INTERIM FEDERAL AID URBAN SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, is vested with the responsibility of administering
the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on December 5, 1973, the Board of County Com-
missioners, Weld County, Colorado, established pursuant to the 1973
Federal-Aid Highway Act, established the urban area boundaries for
the City of Greeley, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the City of Greeley has done extensive work under
the Federal Aid Program (Topics) Type II System, and
WHEREAS, the 1973 Highway Federal-Aid Act, as amended
requires that the City of Greeley establish an Interim Federal Aid
Urban System within the near future, and
WHEREAS, the work done by the City of Greeley under the
Federal Aid Program (Topic) Type II System, is compatible for use as
the Interim Federal Aid Urban System which would allow the City of
Greeley to comply with the 1973 Highway Federal-Aid Act as amended,
and is within the boundaries of the urban area previously established by
the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County,
Colorado, deems it to be in the best interest of the taxpayers of Weld
County, Colorado, to utilize the work already done by the City of Greeley,
under the Federal Aid Program (Topics) Type II System, for use as the
Interim Federal Aid Urban System under the amendments to the 1973
Highway Federal-Aid Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the Federal Aid Program
(Topics) Type II System currently designed for the City of Greeley, be
used as the Interim Federal Aid Urban System for the City of Greeley,
Colorado.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 21 day of
August, A. D. , 1974.

REVISED URBAN AREA DESCRIPTION .
CITY OF GREELEY, WELD COUNTY, STATE OF COLORADO
Beginning at a point on S.H. 263 where the city limits of the city of
Greeley crosses the highway on the east side of the city; thence, following
the city limits counterclockwise for approximately 0.6 mile to a county road;
thence, north along and including the above mentioned road for approximately
1.5 miles to another county road; thence, west along and including the county
road for approximately 1.0 mile; thence, south along and including 11th Avenue
to the city limits - a distance of approximately 0.5 mile; thence, along the
city limits in a counterclockwise direction to Irving Avenue; thence, south
along and including Irving Avenue for an approximate distance of 0. 1 of a mile;
thence, west for an approximate distance of 1.i miles - this portion of the
boundary includes the county road depicted on the map; thence, south along
the city limits and continues on this line to West 4th Street; thence, west
along and including West 4th Street for an approximate distance of 1.15 miles;
thence, south along the city limits extended to S.H. 34 business route (West-
10th Street), a distance of approximately 0.5 mile; thence, east along and
including S.H. 34 business route to 35th Avenue, a distance of approximately
0.6 mile; thence, south along and including 35th Avenue to West 16th Street, a
distance of approximately 0.6 mile; thence, west on an extension line of West
16th Street to the Grapevine Lateral Ditch, a distance of approximately 0.3
mile; thence, southwesterly along the Grapevine Lateral Ditch to West 20th
Street, a distance of approximately 0.6 mile; thence, south for an approximate
distance of 0.5 mile; thence, east to 35th Avenue, a distance of approximately
0.5 mile; thence, south along and including 35th Avenue to S.H. 34 (28th Street) ,
a distance of approximately 0.5 mile; thence, east along and including 28th
Street to 23rd Avenue, a distance of approximately 1.0 mile; thence, south along
and including 23rd Avenue to 9th Street, a distance of approximately 1.0 mile;
thence, east along and including 9th Street to the Evans city limits, a distance
of approximately 0.1 mile; thence, south along the Evans city limits for a
distance of approximately 0.3 mile; thence, east along a line of the city limits
of Evans extended to a diagonal street for an approximate distance of 0,15
mile; thence, northeasterly along and excluding the diagonal street to the
city limits, a distance of approximately 0.35 mile; thence, south along a
line of the city limits extended to the north bank of the South Platte Rivet,
a distance of approximately 1.1 miles; thence, northeasterly along the South
Platte River to a point on an extended line of 1st Avenue, a distance of
approximately 1.9 miles; thence, north along the extended line of 1st Avenue
and including 1st Avenue to 14th Street, a distance of approximately 0.75 miles;
thence, west along and including 14th Street to the city limits of Evans, a
distance of approximately 0.5 mile; thence, northerly and easterly along the
city limits of Evans, Rosedale and Garden City to 26th Street, a distance of
approximately 1.25 miles; thence, east along and including 26th Street for an
approximate distance of 0.5 mile; thence, north on an extended line of the
east city limits of Garden City to 25th Street, a distance of approximately
0.15 mile; thence, east along and including 25th Street to 1st Avenue, a
distance of approximately 0.3 mile; thence, south along and excluding 1st
Avenue for an approximate distance of 0.1 mile to the city limits; thence,
east along the city limits for a distance of approximately 0.3 mile; thence,
north along the city limits extended for an approximate distance of 0.75 mile
to a county road; thence, west along and including the county road to 1st
Avenue, a distance of 0.3 mile; thence, north along and including 1st Avenue
for a distance of approximately 1.05 miles to the city limits; thence, east
and northerly along the city limits to S.H. 263, a distance of approximately
0.35 mile; thence, easterly along and including S.N. 263 to the point of
beginning, a distance of approximately 0.25 mile.
