HomeMy WebLinkAbout740619.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVAL OF DESIGNATION OF THE FEDERAL AID PROGRAM (TOPICS) TYPE II SYSTEM FOR THE CITY OF GREELEY AS THE INTERIM FEDERAL AID URBAN SYSTEM. WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, is vested with the responsibility of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, on December 5, 1973, the Board of County Com- missioners, Weld County, Colorado, established pursuant to the 1973 Federal-Aid Highway Act, established the urban area boundaries for the City of Greeley, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the City of Greeley has done extensive work under the Federal Aid Program (Topics) Type II System, and WHEREAS, the 1973 Highway Federal-Aid Act, as amended requires that the City of Greeley establish an Interim Federal Aid Urban System within the near future, and WHEREAS, the work done by the City of Greeley under the Federal Aid Program (Topic) Type II System, is compatible for use as the Interim Federal Aid Urban System which would allow the City of Greeley to comply with the 1973 Highway Federal-Aid Act as amended, and is within the boundaries of the urban area previously established by the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, deems it to be in the best interest of the taxpayers of Weld County, Colorado, to utilize the work already done by the City of Greeley, under the Federal Aid Program (Topics) Type II System, for use as the Interim Federal Aid Urban System under the amendments to the 1973 Highway Federal-Aid Act. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the Federal Aid Program (Topics) Type II System currently designed for the City of Greeley, be used as the Interim Federal Aid Urban System for the City of Greeley, Colorado. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 21 day of August, A. D. , 1974.
