Establishing 2025 County Commissioner Redistricting Advisory Committee
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, the Board was directed by the Colorado Supreme Court to undertake a
redistricting process in 2025 pursuant to C.R.S. §30-10-306.1 et. seq., and
Whereas, the Board has deemed it prudent to appoint an advisory committee pursuant
to statute to assist the Redistricting Commission in its work, and
Whereas, the Board held an open online application from April 7, 2025, through April 14,
2025, in which 42 people expressed an interest in serving on the advisory committee, and
Whereas, C.R.S. § 30-10-306(6)(a) requires the advisory committee to have an equal
number of members affiliated with the Democratic Party, affiliated with the Republican
Party, and not affiliated with either party, and
Whereas, the Board believes the following selection meets the statutory criteria as well
as captures a broad representation of the Weld County citizenry,
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado that the following individuals will serve as the 2025 County Commissioner
Redistricting Advisory Committee:
1. Julie Cozad, Milliken, Republican
2. Dawn Kafes, Frederick, Democratic
3. Zoe Hubbard, Fort Lupton, Unaffiliated/Third-Party
4. Dave Long, New Raymer, Republican
5. Lane Mattox, Greeley, Unaffiliated/Third-Party
6. Adrienne Sandoval, Platteville, Republican
7. Sonny Subia, Greeley, Democratic
8. Stacy Suniga, Greeley, Democratic
9. Brandon Wark, Greeley, Unaffiliated/Third-Party

The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, approved the above
and foregoing Resolution, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on
the 23rd day of April, A.D., 2025:
