RE: RAISE Support for the Windsor SH 392 Safety and Mobility Corridor Project
Dear Secretary,
The Weld County Board of County Commissioners are pleased to write in support of the Town of
Windsor's request for grant funding through the U.S. Department of Transportation RAISE
program to construct and implement the Windsor SH 392 Safety and Mobility Corridor Project.
This grant will support efforts to reconstruct a functionally obsolete bridge, provide connections
to the Poudre River Trail multimodal path, provide a separated multi -use path along the SH 392
corridor, install a traffic signal with ADA adaptive crossing, improve transit connections, and
implement FHWA's Proven Safety Countermeasures.
We applaud the Town of Windsor's efforts to advance the proposed project and recognize the
positive impact it will have on Historically Disadvantaged Communities, Areas of Persistent
Poverty, and designated Opportunity Zones in nearby Greeley, Loveland, and Ft. Collins by
providing these communities with connectivity and safe access to jobs, food, shopping, parks and
recreation, education, health care, transit and overall access to region opportunities through
providing safe roads, economic opportunities, addressing environmental sustainability, and
through partnership, collaboration.
We strongly support this project and are excited to participate in the Windsor SH 392 Safety and
Mobility Corridor Project.
Sincerely
Kevin D. Ross
