Weld County Fleet Services has reviewed all bids submitted. The lowest bidder was
Bruckner Truck Sales Inc. for $739,634.00 and did not meet bid specifications. Bruckner
Truck Sales Inc. bid included a Mack MP8 455 HP engine that does not meet our
specification of a Cummins 505 HP engine.
The second low bidder was McCandless Truck Center for $803,891.38 and did not meet
bid specifications. McCandless Truck Center's bid included an S13 515 HP engine that
does not meet our bid specification of a Cummins 505 HP engine.
The third lowest bid was Transwest Trucks Inc. for $860,414.00 and met all bid
specifications.
Weld County Fleet Services recommends awarding bid # B2500062 to the third lowest
bidder Transwest Trucks Inc. in the amount of $860,414.00 total.
