Box 758 Greeley, CO 80632 RE: EIAF 25-020 Weld County 2025 Comprehensive Plan Dear Commissioner Buck, Congratulations! After thorough review, I am excited to offer a grant award in the amount of $200,000 to assist with the above mentioned project. Your project was reviewed based on a variety of factors such as its connection to energy impact, degree of need, measurable outcomes, amount of request, relationship to community goals, level of local match and community support, management capacity, resiliency and readiness to go. Competition for these limited funds is intense and we are seeing great demand. These grant funds will be from state severance tax proceeds, which may cause you to go to election to receive and spend them. You should confer with your legal and budget advisors to determine if such an election is necessary. DOLA is an enthusiastic funder of planning efforts, particularly as this strategic growth work has become increasingly complex and urgently needed. We stand ready to support communities as they address local challenges including affordability in housing, climate change, mobility, economic diversification, fiscal health, aging infrastructure, water conservation and supply planning, energy efficiency, inclusive community engagement, and equitable outcomes. While these issues are complex and often regional in nature, we encourage and support communities addressing them. Governor Jared S. Polls I Maria De Cambra, Executive Director I Eric H.
