Approve Regulating, Warning, and Guiding Traffic During Extension of Temporary
Closures of "0" Street Between North 35th Avenue and 11th Avenue;
County Road 37 Between "0" Street and "AA" Street; and North 25th Avenue
Between Northwest "C" Street and "0" Street for Approximately an Additional
Seven (7) Days, for Unanticipated Delays Due to Adjustments to Service Tie -In
Schedules
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, pursuant to C.R.S. §42-4-106(6)(a), "...local authorities, with their respective
jurisdiction may, for the purpose of road construction and maintenance, temporarily close
to through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion thereof for a period not
to exceed a specified number of work days for project completion and shall, in conjunction
with any such road closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an alternative
routing of the traffic affected...", and
Whereas, on the 14th day of July, 2025, pursuant to said Statute and upon the basis of
traffic and personnel investigations, the Board determined that conditions existed which
made it necessary to temporarily close "O" Street between North 35th Avenue and 11th
Avenue; County Road 37 between "O" Street and "AA" Street; and North 25th Avenue
between Northwest "C" Street and "O" Street, to through traffic and to regulate, warn and
guide vehicular traffic by posting signs thereon, with said closure being effective July 21,
2025, for approximately three (3) weeks for service connection and paving, and
Whereas, on the 6th day of August, 2025, pursuant to said Statute and upon the basis of
traffic and personnel investigations, the Board has determined that conditions exist which
make it necessary to extend said temporary closures of "O" Street between North 35th
Avenue and 11th Avenue; County Road 37 between "O" Street and "AA" Street; and North
25th Avenue between Northwest "C" Street and "O" Street, with said extended closures
being effective August 8, 2025, for approximately an additional seven (7) days through
August 15, 2025, for unanticipated delays due to adjustments in the service tie-in
schedules, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said
closure giving notice of the restrictions.
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn, and guide vehicular traffic on County
Roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of
such traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn, and/or
guide traffic thereon for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices
shall conform to the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

Be it further resolved that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that the temporary closures of "O" Street between
North 35th Avenue and 11th Avenue; County Road 37 between "O" Street and "AA"
Street; and North 25th Avenue between Northwest "C" Street and "O" Street, be
extended, effective August 8, 2025, for approximately an additional seven (7) days
through August 15, 2025, for unanticipated delays due to adjustments in the service tie-
in schedules, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at
said closure giving notice of the restrictions.
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, approved the above
and foregoing Resolution, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on
the 6th day of August, A.D., 2025:

Reynolds Construction, on behalf of the City of Greeley, is requesting to extend the closures of O ST
between 35th Ave. and 11th Avenue, CR 37 between O Street and AA Street, and N 25th Ave. between
NW C ST and O ST from original end date of 8/8/2025 through 8/15/2025 to complete final paving.
Adjustments in service tie-in schedules delayed final paving schedule by 1 week.
Original closure dates were 7/21/2025 through 8/8/2025.
