Pursuant to the Weld County Home Rule Charter, Ordinance Number 2025-262 published
below, was introduced and, on motion duly made and seconded, approved upon first
reading on November 3, 2025. A public hearing and second reading is scheduled to be
held in the Chambers of the Board, located within the Weld County Administration
Building, 1150 O Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631, on November 17, 2025. All persons in
any manner interested in the reading of said Ordinance are requested to attend and may
be heard.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if special accommodations are
required in order for you to participate in this hearing, please contact the Clerk to the
Board's Office at (970) 400-4225 prior to the day of the hearing.
Any backup material, exhibits or information previously submitted to the Board of County
Commissioners concerning this matter may be examined in the office of the Clerk to the
Board of County Commissioners, located within the Weld County Administration Building,
1150 O Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.,
Monday thru Friday, or may be accessed through the Weld County website
(www.weld.gov). Email messages sent to an individual Commissioner may not be
included in the case file. To ensure inclusion of your email correspondence into the

In the Matter of Summarizing Expenditures and Revenues for Each Fund and
Adopting a Budget for the County of Weld, Colorado, for the Calendar Year
Beginning on the First Day of January, 2026, and Ending on the Last Day of
December, 2026
Be it ordained by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld, State
of Colorado:
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld has appointed the
Chief Financial Officer and Finance Department to prepare and submit a proposed budget
to said governing body at the proper time, and
Whereas, the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Department has submitted a proposed
budget to this governing body for its consideration, and
Whereas, upon due and proper notice, published or posted in accordance with the law,
said proposed budget was open for inspection by the public at a designated place, First
Reading was held on November 3, 2025, Second Reading was held on November 17,
2025, and interested taxpayers were given the opportunity to file or register any objections
to said proposed budget prior to Final Reading on December 10, 2025, and
Whereas, the Board, in its deliberations on the 2026 Budget, has amended the proposed
budget as reflected on the attached exhibits.
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that the 2026 Budget as submitted, amended, and summarized by fund in
Exhibit "A", be, and hereby, is approved and adopted as the budget of the County of Weld
for the year stated above.
Be it further ordained by the Board of County Commissioners that the Chief Financial
Officer and Director of Finance is hereby directed to prepare and publish the 2026 Budget
as submitted, amended by the Board of County Commissioners, and summarized by fund
in Exhibit "A", during the budget hearing process.
Notice of 2026 Weld County Budget
Notice is hereby given that a proposed budget has been submitted to the Board of
Weld County Commissioners for the ensuing year of 2026. A copy of the entire
Proposed Budget and additional background materials are available for public inspection
from 8:00 a.m., to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, in the Office of the Clerk to the Board, Weld
County Administrative Building, 1150 O Street, Greeley, Colorado.
The Proposed Budget will be considered at work sessions to be held on Monday,
October 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., and Monday, October 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in the
Pawnee Conference Room at the Weld County Administrative Building, 1150 O Street,
Greeley, Colorado. The purpose of the work sessions will be to review each department's
budget request.
All interested citizens, groups and organizations representing the interests of citizens are
encouraged to attend and to submit written and oral comment from the public concerning
the Proposed Budget for fiscal year 2026.
The Board of Weld County Commissioners will hold a public hearing in its Hearing Room,
Weld County Administrative Building, 1150 O Street, Greeley, Colorado, for a
three -reading process on Monday, November 3, Monday November 17, and Wednesday
December 10, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., for adoption of the Final Budget. Members of the public
may inspect the Proposed Budget and file or register any objections thereto at any time
prior to adoption of the Final Budget.
