SUBJECT: Bid Recommendation for #B2500017 -
2025 Erosion Control and Revegetation Services
On February 28, 2025, Weld County Purchasing opened seven bids for the Public Works 2025 Erosion
Control and Revegetation Services Invitation for Bid.
The Erosion Control and Revegetation Services contract is a multiple award contract, allowing for up to
two awards. The two lowest bids were submitted by Merjent and Consolidated Divisions. However,
Consolidated Divisions did not meet bid specifications due to location (Sedalia) bid requires to be within
a 1 hour of PW for logistical reasons such as emergencies. Jomax Construction was the next lowest bid.
Both Merjent and Jomax Construction satisfactorily meet bid specifications.
The budget for Erosion Control and Revegetation Services is $582,000, and Public Works is
recommending contracts be awarded to the two lowest bidders meeting specifications, Merjent and
Jomax Construction. The contract amounts will be divided between the two companies and will not
exceed the budgeted amount.
