A copy of the Resolution is enclosed herewith. The fire impact fee will be imposed on all new buildings, structures, facilities, or improvements, including oil or gas wells and related equipment, on previously improved or unimproved real property within the District's jurisdictional boundaries (collectively, "New Development") for which a completed development permit application is submitted to the County on or after December 25, 2024. As provided by C.R.S. § 32-1-1001(1)(d.5)(VI), the County is required to notify the District of the issuance of a building permit for the construction of New Development within the District's jurisdictional boundaries at the time of issuance. Please provide all such notices, along with contact information for the developer, to the District's Contractor Portal at https://brightonfire.org/contractor-portal-login/. The District also would appreciate receiving notice of the filing of any completed development permit application so that it can connect with the developer regarding the fire impact fee, and avoid any developer surprise that may result if they are not apprised of the fire impact fee until after the building permit is issued. The District greatly values its relationship with the County, and appreciates the County's cooperation in helping the District provide the high quality emergency services that its citizens deserve.
