Fourteen years ago I joined the PVREA Board of directors with the intenrion of helping to guide the utility into the emerging
renevcPable energy landscape. I am proud of the changes we have made since then: incorporating renewables has allowed us to
expand clean energy oprioms for eveaybody while -at tle same time- keeping our costs the lowest of all electric distribution co-ops in
Colorado, und improving reliability! But tlus is only the beginnuig!
Just as wuad and solar were new technologies back then, Virtual Power Plants, batteries, electric vehicles, and more, are emerging
technologies today. Moreover, the new eleetric grid will not be a simple substitution of renewable energy generation resources for
retirirgg power plants, because the grid itseli is now icorporating new technologies to become a"smart" grid, allowilig energy to flow
in two directions, rather than from the top down only.
In addirion to solar projects, we now have community solar gardens, micro-grids, and new opportunities involving vvind and batteries
are coming soon.
These changes, and more, present incredible opportunities for our cooperative to create new and better relationships with our
member/owners: consumers can becoxrie "prosumers," both producing and consuming power, with power management provided by
PVREA, to the benefit of everyone! In order to realize tlus potential, more changes will need to be made, both inside PVREA and in
our relationslups with our energy partners.
My mission has not changed. Your vote will allow me to continue helping guide PVREA into the affordable, sustainable future.

A farmer's son, I earned my Law and MBA degrees at St. Louis University in Saint Louis MO. In 2016 Cindy and I built our home
in the Buckhorn Valley west of Loveland. My hobbies include woodworking, hiking, skiing, brewing, and lifelong learning.
I enjoyed a 30-year legal career with Anheuser-Busch where I provided legal guidance for engineering, operations, construction, real
estate, purchasing, environmental, safety, energy and utility matters. This career experience equips me to address PVREA Board
deliberations.
I learned early on that building consensus among decision makers - consistent with the facts and the law - was the best path to
effectively serve my organization.
For the past 7 years I have volunteered providing climate education in our community to preserve a livable climate for our children
and promote Building Electrif"ication and Efficiency. PVREA offers numerous programs which support efficiency and electrification.
PVREA's commitment to using and helping COOP members adopt clean energy resources like PV solar, battery storage, EVs, heat
pump systems, electric yard tools and methane free electric cooking motivates my board candidacy.
All of us must transirion to clean, pollution free energy. As yaur representative I'll always protect the best interests of our members
and that of our clnildren: ensuring PVREA continues to keep safery first, costs low, and service reliable, all while fostering the clean
energy transition.
I humbly ask your support to allow me help PVREA lead us into the electric energy future.
Respectfully,
Frank Hruby
