Acreage Release Request (AR -1), Full/Final release of 98.6 acres.
Please be advised that on June 16, 2025, Weld County Public Works, whose address and telephone number
are 1111 H St. P.O. Box 758, Greeley, CO 80632; (970) 400-3722, filed an application for an Acreage
Release Request (AR- 1) to M1987186, Peters Pit No 2, which is located approximately 6 miles west of
Herford, Section 27, Township 12N, Range 63W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Weld County.
Full/Final release of 98.6 acres.
Written comments or objections to the application may be submitted to and additional information obtained
from Nikie Gagnon at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215
Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (720) 527-1640.
Comments or objections should be submitted within fifteen (15) days of this notice to be considered in the
application review process. The Division is required to provide a thirty (30) day period following a decision
on the release application to allow for appeals to its decision.
