Operational Excellence
Integration
•
•
As of April 1, 2023, DCP Midstream has
become fully integrated with Phillips 66.
Some assets will remain under the name DCP
Operating Company, L.P., including Pintail
Compressor Station
Operations
• Approximately 3,500 miles of pipeline
• 10 natural gas processing plants
• 16 compressor stations
What is causing growth?
• Producer drilling
• Need for infrastructure to get natural gas to
market

Pintail Compressor Station: A Vital Link in the Energy Value Chair
Pipelines Lose Pressure:
• As natural gas travels
through pipelines, friction
causes its pressure to drop.
Compression Boost the
Flow:
• Compressor stations use
powerful engines to re -
pressurize the gas.
Ensuring Reliable Delivery:
• Compressors or Boosters
ensure natural gas
maintains a continuous and
efficient flow, guaranteeing
a reliable supply of energy
for homes and businesses.

Noise Mitigation
• Major equipment will be housed in insulated
buildings to mitigate noise
• Electric compression and quiet design coolers
• 55 dBA— 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM
• 50dBA 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
S
Visibility
• Natural paint colors will be used to blend with
the surrounding landscape
• The site will be fenced with a gated access
point
Light Mitigation
• Downcast lighting
• Lights on equipment will remain for safety and
monitoring purposes
Additional Actions
• Electric compression — no direct exhaust at the
site
Less noise than combustion engines

Noise Levels
Pintail Compressor Station
•
•
•
Sound levels from facility operations have been
modeled by TruHorizon
The study concluded that baseline conditions
average ambient sound levels of 45.1 dBA.
The Project will operate under Weld County
Code 14-9-40 for Residential Property or
Commercial Property at a maximum of 55 dBA
from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM and a maximum of 50
dBA from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM at the property
boundary
Sound decibels (db) are a unit used to measure the intensity of sound
waves. The measurement is based on a logarithmic scale, where each
increase of 10 decibels represents a tenfold increase in sound intensity.
Below is a chart with examples of what each decibel sounds like.
