RESOLUTION
RE: IN THE MATTER OF CHANGE IN BOUNDARY LINES OF THE
COMMISSIONER DISTRICTS IN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of
County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, by the Weld County
Clerk and Recorder by letter of May 17, 1974 (copy attached for ref-
erence) that the existing Commissioner districts should be changed to
facilitate the conduct of the County Home Rule Election on November
5, 1974, for the reason that the present Commissioner district boundary
lines bisect several election precincts, thereby causing confusion in
the conduct of the election, and
WHEREAS, the alteration of the existing Commissioner district
boundaries so as not to bisect any of the precinct boundary lines will
not materially alter the boundaries of said Commissioner districts with
respect to population, value of property assessment, revenues returned
and amount of roads in each district, and
WHEREAS, in order that Weld County complies with the law
in every respect, it is desirable, necessary and in the best interest
of the County that the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County
Colorado, now consider, determine and reestablish new boundary lines
of the Commissioner district within the County, all as shown on Exhibits
A, B, C, D & E attached hereto and made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the new boundaries
in each of the Commissioner districts within Weld County shall be as
shown on Exhibit A, map of the city of Greeley, and as shown on Exhibit
B, map of Weld County, except the city of Greeley, noting thereon the
division of the Commissioner districts within the city of Greeley and
Weld County, including Exhibit C (Commissioner district #1), Exhibit
D (Commissioner district #2), and Exhibit E (Commissioner district
#3), being metes and bounds descriptions of the aforesaid districts, all
attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.
The above and foregoing Resolution was on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 3rd day
of July, A. D. , 1974.

THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MAKE NECESSARY
ADJUSTMENTS IN THE COMMISSIONER DISTRICT BOUNDARY
LINES AS PER ATTACHED EXHIBITS A AND B, IN ORDER TO
FACILITATE THE CONDUCT OF THE COUNTY HOME RULE
ELECTION TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 5, 1974. THESE ADJUSTMENTS
ARE NECESSARY TO PREVENT DISFRANCHISEMENT OF ANY
REGISTERED ELECTOR WHO OFFERS TO VOTE ON THE COUNTY HOME
RULE QUESTION.
THE DISTRICT BOUNDARY LINES AS THEY EXIST WILL CAUSE
SEVERAL ELECTION PRECINCTS TO APPEAR IN TWO DIFFERENT
COMMISSIONER DISTRICTS NECESSITATING TWO DIFFERENT
BALLOTS.
