FRONTIER ACADEMY WOLVERINES DAY
NOVEMBER 5, 2025
WHEREAS, the Frontier Academy boys golf team competed in the Class 2A state
championship Oct. 6 and 7 at the Elmwood Golf Course in Pueblo; and
WHEREAS, with leading team scores of 229 after round one and 223 after round two, the
Wolverines captured the state championship behind a performance that saw the team
finish collectively 32 -over -par; and
WHEREAS, sophomore Isaiah Fowler's individual performance nearly earned him an
individual state title, but the Wolverines' state championship victory embodied a larger
team commitment. Seven team members had good enough end -of -season stats to qualify
for state, but roster limits only allowed four to participate. Fowler received first -team all -state
honors, while senior Hayden Leblount and junior Canton Sandstrom were named second -
team all -state. Junior Owen Steward finished 415' out of more than 80 competitors, and Erin
Bley was named 2A Coach of the Year by the Colorado High School Activities Association;
WHEREAS, those individual honors all added up to a state championship — a first for the
boys golf program and only the fourth in school history. We, as a board, are proud of the
team's accomplishments, because they embody what's needed to achieve any goals in
life: hard work, determination, and teamwork; and
WHEREAS, just as we applaud and recognize the team members, we recognize and salute
the parents, whose support in their child's pursuit was and is critical to their success.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners that
November 5, 2025, be recognized as Frontier Academy Wolverines Day in Weld County. We
join students, coaches, and parents in celebrating this historic achievement.
