HomeMy WebLinkAbout20252118.tiffRecord of Proceedings Minutes Housing Authority Weld County, Colorado Monday, July 28, 2025 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Administration Building, Greeley, Colorado, July 28, 2025, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. Roll Call: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Perry L. Buck, Chair Commissioner Scott K. James, Pro-Tem Commissioner Jason S. Maxey Commissioner Lynette Peppler Commissioner Kevin D. Ross Also present: Acting Clerk to the Board, Houstan Aragon County Attorney, Bruce Barker Chief Financial Officer, Cheryl Pattelli Minutes: There being no corrections to the below listed Minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting, as printed, Commissioner James moved to approve. Commissioner Ross seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. 1. Minutes from June 23, 2025 New Business — General: 1. Consider Contract ID #9709 Renewal Application for Public Entity and Employment Practices Liability Insurance, and Authorize Chair to Sign — Kinsale Insurance Company, c/o Arther J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, LLC: Kelly Leffler, Department of Human Resources, stated the application allows for the renewal of liability insurance for the Weld County Housing Authority with an anticipated premium for coverage, in the amount of $10,579.00, for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Commissioner Ross moved to approve said renewal application and authorize the Chair to sign. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Maxey and it carried unanimously. 2025-2118 BC0016 Page 2 Monday, July 28, 2025 www.weld.gov 2. Consider Quit Claim Deed to Transfer Property from Weld County to Greeley Housing Authority and Authorize Chair to Sign: Bruce Barker, County Attorney, explained, pursuant to provisions in an amendment to an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Greeley, which was approved by the Board in January 2025, the deed allows for the transfer of property located at 2940 State Farm Road, Evans, Colorado 80620, from Weld County to the Greeley Housing Authority. Commissioner Maxey moved to approve said deed and authorize the Chair to sign. The motion was seconded by Commissioner James and it carried unanimously. 3. Consider Declaration of Certain Equipment and Surplus Property, Authorize Transfer of Title of Same to Greeley Housing Authority, and Authorize Chair and Controller to Sign Any Necessary Documents: Mr. Barker stated the Certificate of Title allows for the transfer of a 2021 Nissan Rogue from the Weld County Housing Authority to the Greeley Housing Authority, due to them utilizing and maintaining said vehicle. Commissioner James moved to approve said transfer of title and authorize -the Chair to sign. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Ross and it carried unanimously. 4. Consider Request to Schedule Weld County / Greeley Housing Authority Board Meeting for August 11, 2025: Mr. Barker requested an additional Housing Authority Board meeting to be scheduled for Monday, August 11, 2025, for the purpose of finalizing the transfer of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds that are being held in a joint account. Commissioner James moved to approve said request and set a Housing Authority Board meeting for August 11, 2025. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Maxey and it carried unanimously. Let the Minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Clerk to the Board. There being no further business, this meeting was adjourned at 9:05 a.m. The Housing Authority Board of Weld County, Colorado, approved the above and foregoing Minutes, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on the 11th day of August, A.D., 2025: Perry L.
