HomeMy WebLinkAbout700346.tiff RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Edward Swanberg, 10268 Baseline Road, Lafayette, Colorado 80026, has requested permission to locate a dog kennel opera- tion on the following described property, to-wit: The South Half of the Southwest Cuarter (SSW ) of Section Twenty-eight (28), Township Two (2) North, Range Sixty- seven (67) West of the 6th P. M. , Weld County, Colorado, containing 80 acres, more or less, and WHEREAS, the said requested location for a dog kennel operation is located in an agricultural zone as set forth by the Weld County Zoning Resolution, and WHEREAS, according to Section 3. 3 (3) of the Zoning Resolution of Weld County, said dog kennel operation may be authorized on the approval of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and WHEREAS, the Weld County Planning Commission by Resolution dated January 6, 1970, has recommended that said site for the dog kennel operation by approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Edward Swanberg, 10268 Baseline Road, Lafayette, Colorado 80026, is hereby authorized to locate a dog kennel operation on the following described property, to-wit: The South Half of the Southwest Cuarter (S SW4) of Section Twenty-eight (28), Township Two (2) North, Range Sixty- seven (67) West of the 6th P. Dear Sir: At a meeting of the Weld County Planning Commission Monday, January 5, 1970, your request for approval of a site for dog kennels was favnrrhly recommended to the Board of County Commissioners. Mr. Pierce stated there are two labor houses on the property but are unfit to live in. MOTION: By Mr. Bowles that a temporary permit for one year be issued, subject to review at that time. To be issued as an accessory farm use. Second by Mr. Bartels. A unanimous vote of "Ayes". Motion carried. APPLICANT: Herbert J. Fusser CASE NUMBER: Sp Rev 125 SUBJECT: Mobile home LOCATION: Pt L2 S 4 SE-* Sec 9 T5 R65 APPEARANCE: Mr. and Mr. Nusser, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Reeves DISCUSSION: Mr. Nusser stated he had sold Mr. Reeves a mobile home and he couldn't find a space in a Mobile Home Park so he had let him hook it up in his sales yard next to his home. Mr. Watson asked if he knew he was in violation when he hooked it up. Mr. Nusser answered "yes". APPEARANCE AGAINST: A. F. Hinse DISCUSSION: Mr. Henze stated he objected, unless this is for a very limited time. The neighbors had objected to the zone change for the trailer sales. They have sewer problems and the water supply is not adequate. Felt if this is allowed, it would be a step toward breaking down all zoning regi4ations. Mr. Bowles stated when the zone change was granted, it was brought out that there would be no trailers hooked up there. The The trailer was knowingly hooked up in violation and felt it should be moved immediately. Mr. Reeves stated they had been unable to find a space in a Mobile Home Park. Mr Paul stated he is in violation by hooking up the mobile home to his septic system for the house. Is opposed. MOTION: By Mr. LePore that the mobile home be moved immediately. Second by Mr. Heitman. A unanimous vote of "Aye". Motion carried. APPLICANT: Charles Peterson CASE NUMBER: S=70 SUBJECT: Peterson Subdivision - 2nd Filing LOCATION: Pt. SW Sec 16 T5 R66 APPEARANCE: None DISCUSSION: Mr. Lorenson stated the plat is deficient in some areas. Would request a traverse sheet, certification of surveyor and engineer, street profiles. Recommended that it be tabled until these things are forthcoming. Mr. Lorenson recommended that some soils tests be made in the area inasmuch as there are same problems with a couple of houses in the First Filing. It was suggested the Soil Conservation District be contacted in regard to this. MOTION: By Mr. Bowles to table the matter until soil tests can be made and recommendations of Mr. Lorenson are corrected. Second by Mr. Bartels. A unanimous vote of "Aye". Motion carried. Nearest house is about one-half mile. Mr. Bowles suggested the neighbor be contacted. RESOLUTION: Be it therefore resolved to recommend approval of the site for dog kennels to the Board of County Commissioners, subject to the approval of the nearest neighbors.
