Approve Reassignment and Appointment to Workforce Development Board
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, a vacancy currently exists on the Workforce Development Board and the
reassignment of a currently position needs to be completed, and
Whereas, the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to reassign
Matthew Hortt on said board from a Business Representative to a Workforce
Representative, with a term to expire December 31, 2025, and
Whereas, the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to appoint
Deana Lemos Garcia to said board as a Business Representative, with a term to expire
December 31, 2026, and
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that Matthew Hortt be, and hereby is, reassigned and Deana Lemos Garcia be,
and hereby is, appointed to the Workforce Development Board, with the terms to expire
as listed above.
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, approved the above
and foregoing Resolution, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on
the 3rd day of September, A.D., 2025:
