RE: REGULATION OF SPEED ON COUNTY ROAD NO. 76 FOR
APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE BORDERING ROTH SUBDI-
DIVISION ON THE SOUTHWEST AND BORDERING NORTH
WEST SUBDIVISION ON THE NORTHWEST, IN WELD
COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, a multitude of complaints have been made to the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that motor vehicles
are habitually being driven at speeds greater than is reasonable and pru-
dent along that part of said highway, being in Weld County, and known as
County Road No. 76, for approximately one (1) miles bordering the Roth
Subdivision on the southwest and bordering North West Subdivision on the
northwest, Weld County, Colorado, and all intersections of streets and
roads therewith, and
WHEREAS, said Board is authorized by the statutes of the State of
Colorado to regulate the speed of vehicles, and
WHEREAS, said Board, pursuant to such complaints, has deter-
mined upon the basis of engineering, traffic investigations and a special
speed survey, that any speed along or over said portion of said road or
roadway, and all intersections of other roads therewith, in excess of the
following, to-wit:
Eastbound Traffic:
From the west on County Road No. 76 and continuing east to
approximately 1, 000 feet of the intersection of County Road
No. 76 and Bryan Avenue (in Roth Subdivision), 45 miles per
hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet west of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Bryan Avenue (in Roth Subdivision)
on County Road No. 76 and continuing east for approximately
500 feet, 30 miles per hour;
From approximately 500 feet west of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Bryan Avenue (in Roth Subdivision)
on County Road No. 76 and continuing east past the inter-
section of County Road No. 76 with Bryan Avenue and County
Road No. 15 and with Lee Lake Avenue, approximately 500
feet east of Lee Lake Avenue, 25 miles per hour;
From approximately 500 feet east of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Lee Lake Avenue on County Road No.
76 and continuing east for approximately 500 feet, 30 miles
per hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet east of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Lee Lake Avenue, on County Road
No. 76 and continuing east, 45 miles per hour.
Westbound Traffic:
From the east on County Road No. 76, and continuing west to
approximately 1, 000 feet of the intersection of County Road
No. 76 and Lee Lake Avenue, 45 miles per hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet east of the intersection
of County Road No. 76 and Lee Lake Avenue (bordering
North West Subdivision on the south ) on County Road No.
76 and continuing west for approximately 500 feet,
30 miles per hour;
From approximately 500 feet east of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Lee Lake Avenue (bordering
North West Subdivision on the south\ on County Road No.
76 and continuing west past the intersection of County
Road No. 76 and Lee Lake Avenue and County Road No.
15 to approximately 500 feet west of Bryan Avenue (in
Roth Subdivision), 25 miles per hour;
From approximately 500 feet west of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Bryan Avenue (in Roth Subdivision)
on County Road No. 76 and continuing west for approxi-
mately 500 feet, 30 miles per hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet west of the intersection
of County Road No. 76 and Bryan Avenue (in Roth Sub-
division) on County Road No. 76 and continuing west,
45 miles per hour.
Northbound Traffic on County Road No. 15:
From the south on County Road No. 15 and continuing
north to approximately 2, 000 feet of the intersection of
County Road No. 15 and CountyRoad No. 76, 45 miles
per hour;
From approximately 2, 000 feet south of the intersection
of County Road No. 15 and County Road No. 76, on
County Road No. 15 and continuing north for approxi-
mately 1, 000 feet, 30 miles per hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet south of the intersection
of County Road No. 15 and County Road No. 76, on
County Road No. 15 and continuing north to its inter-
section with CountyRoad No. 76, 25 miles per hour;
Southbound Traffic on County Road No. 15:
From the intersection of County Road No. 15 and County
Road No. 76, on County Road No. 15, and continuing
south for approximately 1, 000 feet, 25 miles per hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet south of the intersection
of County Road No. 15 and County Road No. 76, on
County Road No. 15 and continuing south for approximately
1, 000 feet, 30 miles per hour;
From approximately 2, 000 feet south of the intersection
of County Road No. 15 and County Road No. 76, on County
Road No. 15, and continuing south, 45 miles per hour;
is excessive and is greater than is reasonable, safe or prudent under the
conditions that exist.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that no motor vehicle shall
be driven on, over or along any portion, or portions, of said road or
highway, or at or across, or at the entrance to, any intersection of any
other street, road or highway therewith, at a speed in excess of the
following, to-wit:

Eastbound Traffic:
From the west on County Road No. 76 and continuing east to
approximately 1, 000 feet of the intersection of County Road
No. 76 and Bryan Avenue (in Roth Subdivision), 45 miles per
hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet west of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Bryan Avenue (in Roth Subdivision)
on County Road No. 76 and continuing east for approximately
500 feet, 30 miles per hour;
From approximately 500 feet west of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Bryan Avenue (in Roth Subdivision)
on County Road No. 76 and continuing east past the inter-
section of County Road No. 76 with Bryan Avenue and County
Road No. 15 and with Lee Lake Avenue, approximately 500
feet east of Lee Lake Avenue, 25 miles per hour;
From approximately 500 feet east of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Lee Lake Avenue on County Road No.
76 and continuing east for approximately 500 feet, 30 miles
per hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet east of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Lee Lake Avenue, on County Road
No. 76 and continuing east, 45 miles per hour.
Westbound Traffic:
From the east on County Road No. 76, and continuing west
to approximately 1, 000 feet of the intersection of County
Road No. 76 and Lee Lake Avenue, 45 miles per hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet east of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Lee Lake Avenue (bordering North
West Subdivision on the north) on County Road No. 76 and
continuing west for approximately 500 feet, 30 miles per hour;
From approximately 500 feet east of the intersection of County
Road No. 76 and Lee Lake Avenue (bordering North West
Subdivision on the north) on County Road No. 76 and continuing
west past the intersection of County Road No. 76 and Lee Lake
Avenue and County Road No. 15 to approximately 500 feet west
of Bryan Avenue (in Roth Subdivision), 25 miles per hour;
From approximately 500 feet west of the intersection of County
Road No. 76 and Bryan Avenue (in Roth Subdivision) on County
Road No. 76 and continuing west for approximately 500 feet,
30 miles per hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet west of the intersection of
County Road No. 76 and Bryan Avenue (in Roth Subdivision)
on County Road No. 76 and continuing west, 45 miles per hour;
Northbound Traffic on County Road No. 15:
From the south on County Road No. 15 and continuing north
to approximately 2, 000 feet of the intersection of County Road
No. 15 and County Road No. 76, 45 miles per hour;
From approximately 2, 000 feet south of the intersection of
County Road No. 15 and County Road No. 76, on County
Road No. 15 and continuing north for approximately 1, 000
feet, 30 miles per hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet south of the intersection of
County Road No. 15 and County Road No. 76, on County Road

No. 15 and continuing north to its intersection with
CountyRoad No. 76, 25 miles per hour;
Southbound Traffic on County Road No. 15:
From the intersection of County Road No. 15 and County
Road No. 76, on County Road No. 15, and continuing
south for approximately 1, 000 feet, 25 miles per hour;
From approximately 1, 000 feet south of the intersection
County
of County Road No. 15 and County Road No.
Road No. 15 and continuing south for approximately 1, 000
feet, 30 miles per hour;
From approximately 2, 000 feet south of the intersection
of County Road No. 15 and County Road No. 76, on County
RoadNo. 15, and continuing south, 45 miles per hour;
and that any speed in excess of the aforementioned speed limits, and the
driving of any vehicles at any speed in excess of said limits, as afore-
mentioned, thereon or thereat, shall be prima facie evidence that said
speed is not reasonable, safe or prudent, and that it is unlawful.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote, on the 20th day of March, A. D. ,
1974.
