SUNNY ACRES SUBDIVISION (Pt. E' Sec. 13, T1N, R66W)
RELEASE OF $11, 000. 00 BOND
AS SUBMITTED BY A. E. AND BEATRICE D. PILKINGTON
WHEREAS, it has been recommended to release an
$11, 000. 00 Bond now being held by Weld County, Colorado, for
the completion of certain road requirements within said
Sunny Acres Subdivision (Pt. E' Section 13 , Township 1
North, Range 66 West of the 6th P. M. , Weld County, Colorado)
said Bond more particularly described as follows :
Bond No. 19525526 dated November 3 , 1970 issued
by The Aetna Casualty and Surety Company; to Weld County,
Colorado as Obligee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of
County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that they do
hereby direct the County Clerk to release said bond No.
19525526, now being held by the County, in the amount of $11, 000. 00
to A. E. and Beatrice D. Pilkington as Principal and The
Aetna Casualty and Surety as Surety.
The above and foregoing resolution was on motion
duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote:

Dear Mr. Crosthwait,
Mr. W. M. Burley, Sr. , has been in contact with this office
stating that he has experienced delay in your receiving a
letter regarding the roads in Sunny Acres Subdivision. I
regret any delay caused you or Mr. Burley due to our Public
Works Department.
County regulations state that " .public roads, streets,
highways and easements thereon shown Sn the plat7 are approved,
provided however, that the County of Weld will not undertake
maintenance of streets, roads, and rights-of-way until they
have been constructed by the subdivider according to County
specifications and accepted by the County of Weld."
As ybu see, streets in subdivisions are not accepted for
maintenance by the County until the subdivider has brought
the roads up to County standards. Inspection of these prospective
County-maintained roads must be made by the County Engineer;
inspections and approval for County maintenance is not done between
the months of November and March.
Mr. Burley of BEL Hanes, Inc. , stated that you wished to know the
amount of the bond in question in Sunny Acres Subdivision: $11,000.00,
Bond number 19S25526, renewed November 3rd, 1973, sponsored by Sanborn
and Strong Insurance Agents. . The intent of the bond (quoted from July
16, 1969, resolution in regard to Sunny Acres Subdivision) : "Be it
further resolved, that the subdivider shall post a bond in the sum of
$11,000.00 to guarantee absolute compliance with County Road specifications
and that said bond shall continue in effect until released by action of
the Board."
