Box 758 Greeley, CO 80632 The Honorable Senator John Hickenlooper Hart Senate Office Building 120 Constitution Ave NE, Suite SH-316 Washington, DC 20510 Re: Congressionally Directed Spending request for Habitat for Humanity Dear Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper, To Whom it May Concern: We are writing to extend the support of the Weld County Commissioners for Greeley -Weld Habitat for Humanity's plans to construct new affordable housing in the Hill N Park community of Greeley. This will be a critical step forward toward Hill N Park's community revitalization goals and is certainly a project deserving of federal funding. Greeley -Weld Habitat for Humanity has been a long-standing strategic partner in our community and they have demonstrated their capacity to leverage public funding to successfully complete large-scale housing development projects. Their Hill N Park project is well -planned and will offer much -needed affordable housing solutions in Weld County. It will provide 22 new cottages for low-income seniors currently residing in distressed manufactured units within the Hill N Park community. After the residents have been relocated to the new cottages, the manufactured units will be demolished and replaced with new, affordable homes for additional low-income households, further helping to alleviate our county's affordable housing crisis. We are proud to support this worthwhile project, especially as housing stock continues to be at a premium, with inventories at all-time lows. CDS funding would help to ensure completion of the project in an expeditious manner, and we are hopeful that Greeley - Weld Habitat for Humanity will receive the requested federal support. Sincerely, Perry L. Buck Chair, Weld County Board of Commissioners CoMt-tun;co.-I-;onS X3/3 I /2S 2025-0876 Hello
