The Weld County Board of Commissioners met with Robert Anderson
and William Garnsey of the Board of Trustees of the Weld County Library
and Mrs. Elizabeth Adcock, the librarian, on February 15, 1961, at the
library. The annual report for 1960 was presented, and Mrs. Adcock
pointed out the statistics indicating the increased activity of the library,
particularly since the move into the new location. The needs for more
clerical help immediately and for a second full-time driver in September
were explainedby the library representatives. As a result, the commis-
sioners agreed to provide $3,000.00 additional salary money after conferring
with the auditor. In the meantime, Mrs. Adcock was authorized to spend up
to .,.500.00 from the Library Special Fund for salary for two months.
This
money will be reimbursed by the commissioners when the entire matter is
cleared with the auditor.
The commissioners also approved a request of the
library hoard for an advance of budget money to clear some past -due book
invoices.
