11 Notice Of A Proposed Title V Operating Permit Warranting Public
. It Comment
Website Title: Timberline Energy, LLC. - Timberline Energy - Weld County
Notice Period Begins: October 13, 2025
Notice Period Ends: November 12, 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that an Operating Permit application has been submitted to the Colorado
Air Pollution Control Division, 4300 Cherry Creek Drive South, Denver, Colorado 80246-1530, for the
following source of air pollution:
Applicant: Timberline Energy, LLC.
2200 Weld County Road 6
Erie, CO 80516
Facility: Timberline Energy
Timberline Energy, LLC. has applied for an Operating Permit for the Timberline Energy in Weld
County, CO. Timberline Energy, LLC is a landfill gas to energy engine facility and falls under the
Standard Industrial Classification 4911 for electric services. Timberline Energy is a separate source
from the nearby landfills and operates two landfill gas engines. Combustion emissions from the
engines include Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), Sulfur Dioxide (5O2), Particulate Matter (PM) and Carbon
Monoxide (CO). This is the initial Title V permit issuance of 12OPWE376. The appropriate
applicable requirements from construction permit 10WE1096 Issuance 2 were included in this
permit. Timberline Energy historically was considered a single source with Denver Regional Landfill
South (DRLS), Denver Regional Landfill North (DRLN), and Front Range Landfill (FRL) but, due to
recent EPA determinations, FRL requested to be separated from DRLN and Timberline Energy. FRL
and DRLS will continue to be considered a single source. The Division has reviewed the
requirements to separate and has determined Timberline energy is a separate source from 123-
0079. Timberline Energy is now assigned to the new AIRS ID 123-A2BC. A copy of the application,
including supplemental information, the Division's analysis, and a draft of Operating Permit
