Box 758 Greeley, CO 80632 Re: Support for Greeley Water's 60" Gold Hill Pipeline Dear Congressman Evans, It is my honor to fully support Greeley's Gold Hill Treated Water Transmission Pipeline Mitigation Project Congressionally - Directed Spending (CDS) request under FEMA's Pre -Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Program. This project will install three miles of welded steel potable water pipeline (comprised of 3,000,000 lbs. or 1,500 tons of American steel) connecting Greeley's two municipal water treatment facilities and providing a robust interconnection to other communities, including Loveland, Windsor, Evans and Milliken, as well as North Weld Water. This expanded interconnection capacity is vital for emergency management with regard to flood response and debris flow impacts, which this region has seen annually as a result of the 198,000 -acre Cameron Peak Wildfire burn scar. This interconnection pipe to connect Greeley's two water treatment plants will add water supply resiliency and food supply security for the greater region by ensuring that our two largest food producers, JBS and Leprino Foods, have uninterrupted water even when post -fire flooding and debris flows compromise the source water quality. Bottom line, this is a good backbone grey infrastructure project - good for Greeley, good for Weld County resiliency and food security, and good for the 8th Congressional District. The Weld County Board of Commissioners urges you to award Greeley this request. Should you have additional questions please feel free to contact me at 970-400-4206. Sincerely, Perry L. Buck Chair, Weld County Board of Commissioners CoMMvnlCo.tport 4H13a/5 2025-1119 Hello
