Home My WebLink About20250224.tiffResolution Approve Consent to Assignment and Assumption of Professional Services Agreement for Various Child Welfare Services from Julie Kula to Mi Yungs Prayer, and authorize Chair to sign Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and Whereas, on the 5th day of April, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved staffs recommendation for Bid #62300040 for Various Child Welfare Services, and Whereas, on the 17th day of May, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Professional Services Agreement for Various Child Welfare Services, and Whereas, Julie Kula desires to assign the current Professional Services Agreement for Various Child Welfare Services to the new shareholders of Mi Yungs Prayer, and Whereas, the Board has been presented with a Consent to Assignment and Assumption of Professional Services Agreement for Various Child Welfare Services among the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, Julie Kula, and Mi Yungs Prayer, commencing January 1, 2025, and ending May 31, 2026, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said agreement, and Whereas, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Consent to Assignment and Assumption of Professional Services Agreement for Various Child Welfare Services among the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, Julie Kula, and Mi Yungs Prayer, be, and hereby is, approved. Julie Kathleen Kula has opened a new business and would like to transfer this Professional Services Agreement into the name of the new business Mi Yungs Prayer. This agreement is related to the Core/Non-Core Child Welfare Various Services RFP *B2300040, known to the Board as Tyler ID# 2023-1397. This Assumption Agreement transitions all services and responsibilities of the original agreement to Mi Yungs Prayer. What options exist for the Board? Approval of the Assumption of Professional Services Agreement with Mi Yungs Prayer. Deny approval of the Assumption of Professional Services Agreement with Mi Yungs Prayer. Consequences: The Assumption Agreement with Mi Yungs Prayer will not be executed. Impacts: The Child Welfare Division will not have an agreement with Mi Yungs Prayer.
