A public hearing was conducted on January 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with the following
present:
Commissioner Perry L. Buck, Chair
Commissioner Scott K. James, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Jason S. Maxey
Commissioner Lynette Peppler
Commissioner Kevin D. Ross
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Jess Reid
Deputy County Attorney, Karin McDougal
Department of Planning Services Representative, Maxwell Nader
The following business was transacted:
'. I hereby certify that pursuant to a Notice dated November 18, 2024, and duly
published November 20, 2024, in the Greeley Tribune, a public hearing was conducted
to consider the request of the Colorado State Land Board, c/o Pivot Solar 45, LLC, and
Pivot Solar 55, LLC, for Use by Special Review Permit, USR24-0024, for a Solar Energy
Facility (SEF) outside of subdivisions and historic townsites in the A (Agricultural) Zone
Djstrict. Karin McDougal, Deputy County Attorney, made this a matter of record.
El Maxwell Nader, Department of Planning Services, stated the applicant requested a
continuance to January 29, 2025.
Bradley Thomas, Pivot Energy, represented the applicant and relayed the
continuance would allow them adequate time to address concerns/ideas brought forward
by a surrounding property owner at the Planning Commission hearing, which took place
on December 3, 2024.
Commissioner Ross moved to continue the matter to January 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.,
to allow the applicant time to address the concerns of a surrounding property owner. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner James, and it carried unanimously. There being
no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 10:03 a.m.
