Approve 2024 Highway User Tax Fund (HUTF) Annual Mileage and Condition
Certification Report, and Adopt Map to be Submitted to the Colorado Department
of Transportation (CDOT) Showing the Weld County Primary and Secondary Road
Systems and Showing the Total Mileage of Public Roads in Weld County which are
Eligible for Participation in the HUTF
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
Whereas, the Board has been presented with the 2024 Highway User Tax Fund (HUTF)
Annual Mileage and Condition Certification Report from the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf
of the Department of Public Works, to the Colorado Department of Transportation
(CDOT), with further terms and conditions being as stated in said report, and
Whereas, the Weld County Department of Public Works has prepared a map to be
submitted to CDOT showing the Weld County Primary and Secondary Road System, and
showing the total miles of public roads in Weld County which have been accepted by the
County and are eligible for participation in the HUTF, pursuant to the requirements of
C.R.S. §43-2-110(1), and are maintained by the County, and
Whereas, said mileage consists of 760.95 miles of County paved roads and 2,107.39
miles of County gravel roads as of December 31, 2024, and
Whereas, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said report and adopt
said map, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that the 2024 Highway User Tax Fund (HUTF) Annual Mileage and Condition
Certification Report from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Public Works,
to the Colorado Department of Transportation, be, and hereby is, approved.

Be it further resolved by the Board that the map prepared by the Department of Public
Works showing the Weld County Primary and Secondary Road System, and showing the
total miles of public roads in Weld County which have been accepted by the County and
are eligible for participation in the HUTF, pursuant to the requirements of
C.R.S. §43-2-110(1), for submittal to the Colorado Department of Transportation, be, and
hereby is, adopted.
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, approved the above
and foregoing Resolution, on motion duly made and seconded, by the following vote on
the 22nd day of January, A.D., 2025:

Notice
Pursuant to the zoning laws of the State of Colorado and the Weld County Code, a public
hearing will be held in the Chambers of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, Weld County Administration Building, 1150 O Street, Assembly Room,
Greeley, Colorado 80631, at the date and time specified.
If a court reporter is desired, please advise the Clerk to the Board, in writing, at least
five days prior to the hearing. The cost of engaging a court reporter shall be borne by the
requesting party. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if special
accommodations are required in order for you to participate in this hearing, please contact
the Clerk to the Board's Office at (970) 400-4225, prior to the day of the hearing.
