Resolution No. 863-C
Approved February 6, 1961
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED, that State Highway No. 66 in Boulder
and Weld Counties be relocated to follow the
alignment of Projects Nos. S 0054(5) ;and S 0054(6),
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all portions of the old
highway relocated by the construction are hereby
abandoned as a part of the State Highway System, '
effective March 1, 1961.

Gentlemen:
We are enclosing, herewith, one copy of Resolution No. 863-C,
approved February 6, 1961, effective March 1, 1961, in
connection with State Highway routings in Weld County,
together with a copy of the Weld County map which has been
colored to indicate the addition and deletion to the State
Highway System resulting.therefrom. This resolution is
forwarded for your information and file.
If it is the desire of your board that the abandoned portion
should remain public highway, your board should adopt the
necessary resolution to add it to your County Road System,
as the 1953 Colorado Statutes Annotated, Chapter 202, Section
6 states that the right-of-way of all abandoned portions of a
State Highway shall revert to the adjacent property owners,
unless the abandoned portion is necessary for use as a public
highway, and a resolution so stating is adopted by the Board
of County Commissioners within ninety days of the abandonment
as part of the State Highway System.
