PASS -AROUND REVIEW
PASS -AROUND TITLE: 2025 County Holidays
DEPARTMENT: Clerk to the Board
PERSON REQUESTING: Esther Gesick
DATE: 9/24/2024
Brief description of the problem/issue:
Attached is the proposed schedule of holidays for calendar year 2025, as well as the rules for choosing the
appropriate days. The Resolution is drafted with the Clerk's recommendation to use the Floating Holiday
(Colorado Day) in conjunction with July 4, 2025 (Independence Day).
What options exist for the Board? Utilize the floating holiday (Colorado Day) in conjunction with July 4th
(Independence Day); OR select alternate date.
Consequences: Using the floating holiday in conjunction with July 4th, affords staff a 4 -day weekend
consistent with generally anticipated public closures.
Impacts: It is at the Board's discretion to select another holiday option.
Costs (Current Fiscal Year / Ongoing or Subsequent Fiscal Years): Budgeted staffing wages.
Recommendation: Direct Clerk to list Draft Resolution reflecting the Floating Holiday (Colorado Day) in
conjunction with July 4, 2025 (Independence Day).
