Pursuant to the Weld County Home Rule Charter, Ordinance Number 261 was introduced on first
reading on November 4, 2024, and a public hearing and second reading was held on
November 18, 2024. A public hearing and final reading was completed on December 2, 2024,
with no change being made to the text of said Ordinance, and on motion duly made and seconded,
was adopted. The effective date of said Ordinance is listed below.

In the Matter of Summarizing Expenditures and Revenues for Each Fund and Adopting a
Budget for the County of Weld, Colorado, for the Calendar Year Beginning on the First Day
of January, 2025, and Ending on the Last Day of December, 2025
Be it ordained by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld, State of
Colorado:
Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld, State of Colorado, pursuant
to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and

Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld has appointed the Chief
Financial Officer and Director of Finance to prepare and submit a proposed budget to said
governing body at the proper time, and
Whereas, the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance has submitted a proposed budget
to this governing body for its consideration, and
Whereas, upon due and proper notice, published or posted in accordance with the law, said
proposed budget was open for inspection by the public at a designated place, First Reading was
held on November 4, 2024, Second Reading was held on November 18, 2024, and interested
taxpayers were given the opportunity to file or register any objections to said proposed budget
prior to Final Reading on December 2, 2024, and
Whereas, the Board, in its deliberations on the 2025 Budget, has amended the proposed budget
as reflected on the attached exhibits.
Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that the 2025 Budget as submitted, amended, and summarized by fund in Exhibit "A",
be, and hereby, is approved and adopted as the budget of the County of Weld for the year stated
above.
Be it Further Resolved by the Board of County Commissioners that the Chief Financial Officer
and Director of Finance is hereby directed to prepare and publish the 2025 Budget as submitted,
amended by the Board of County Commissioners, and summarized by fund in Exhibit "A", during
the budget hearing process.

NOTICE OF 2025 WELD COUNTY BUDGET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a proposed budget has been submitted to the Board of Weld
County Commissioners for the ensuing year of 2025. A copy of the entire Proposed Budget and
additional background materials are available for public inspection from 8:00 a.m., to 5:00 p.m.
weekdays in the Office of the Clerk to the Board, Weld County Administrative Building,
1150 O Street, Greeley, Colorado. It is also available online for review on the website at:
https://www.weld.gov/Government/Departments/Finance-and-Administration/Budget
All interested citizens, groups and organizations representing the interests of citizens are
encouraged to attend and to submit written and oral comment from the public concerning the
Proposed Budget for fiscal year 2025.
The Board of Weld County Commissioners will hold public hearings each of the dates in its
Hearing Room, Weld County Administration Building, 1150 O Street, Greeley, Colorado, for a
three -reading process on Monday, November 4; Monday, November 18; and Monday,
December 2, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., for adoption of the Final Budget. Members of the public may
inspect the Proposed Budget and file or register any objections thereto at any time prior to
adoption of the Final Budget.
