Dear Colorado State Office of Engagement and Extension,
On behalf of the Weld County Commissioners, please accept this letter of support to conduct a
search for the Master Gardner Coordinator/Horticulture Specialist for the Weld County Extension
Office.
This position supports Weld County volunteers who participate in the Master Gardener Program
and through their efforts at Island Grove in the demonstration garden, help desk, White Plumb
Farm, and various other gardens where a coordinator is much needed. In addition to providing
support and education to our Master Gardeners, this position provides education through
workshops and program series to educate residents on horticulture topics.
As Weld County continues to grow and become more diverse in both population and land use, it
will be critical to have a Master Gardner Coordinator/Horticulture Specialist available to help
guide, educate and support planning in the county.
