RE: DISSOLVE CHANGE FUND AT DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on January 18, 1995, the Board approved Resolution #950072 and granted
the request to establish a Change Fund for the Department of Public Works, in the amount of
$50.00, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works no longer has need for cash boxes, and
therefore, the fund is no longer necessary, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Interim Controller has recommended the Change Fund for
the Department of Public Works be dissolved and transferred back to the General Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it
advisable and in the best interests of Weld County to approve said recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Interim Controller, be, and hereby is, authorized to
dissolve the Change Fund for the Department of Public Works, in the amount of $50.00, and
transfer the funds back into the General Fund.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 16th day of September, A.D., 2024.
