RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND
MAJOR AMENDED USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT, 1 MJUSR24-20-0011, FOR A
SOLAR ENERGY FACILITY (SEF) OUTSIDE OF SUBDIVISIONS AND HISTORIC
TOWNSITES - SCOTT PETERSON, C/O SUNSHARE SOLAR, LLC, DBA STARLILY
SOLAR, LLC
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on the 25th day of
September, 2024, at the hour of 10:00 a.m., in the Chambers of the Board, for the purpose of
hearing the application of Scott Peterson, 15002 County Road 36, Platteville, Colorado 80651,
do SunShare Solar, LLC, dba Starlily Solar, LLC, 1724 Gilpin Street, Denver, Colorado 80218,
for a Site Specific Development Plan and Major Amended Use by Special Review Permit,
1MJUSR24-20-0011, for a Solar Energy Facility (SEF) outside of subdivisions and historic
townsites in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, on the following described real estate, being more
particularly described as follows:
W1/2 NW1/4 of Section 10, Township 3 North,
Range 66 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado
WHEREAS, at said hearing, the Board was presented with a request to refer the matter
back to staff to allow them time to review changes to the application, requested by the applicant,
and to provide proper notification to the surrounding property owners who are impacted by the
requested changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that based on the request, the abovementioned application be, and hereby is,
referred back to staff.
