WITH STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
REGARDING PROJECT S 0057(4):
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that thy hereby approve a certain agreement with the State Highway
Commission of Colorado, a public corporation, for the use and benefit of the
Department of Highways of the State of Colorado, dated October 3, 1962, whereby
the County has reviewed and approved the Geometric Standards designated to govern
the construction of a Federal Aid Secondary Project S 0057(4) approximately 2.359
miles long, beginning at Junction State Highway 16 and 257 Northerly towards
Windsor on State Highway No. 257 in the County, as per terms of said Agreement
pn behalf of WeldlCounty by signatures of the Board, as per attached a t,
and made a part of this resolution.

COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
County Weld

THIS AGREEMENT entered into this 3rd day of October 19 62
by and between the County of Weld party of the first part, and THE STATE
HIGHWAY COMMISSION OF COLORADO, a public corporation for the use and benefit of
the STATE OF COLORADO, party of the second part, WITNESSETH that
WHEREAS, The Department has constructed, or proposes to construct, or
provide for the construction of, a project known as Project S 0057(4)
approximately 2.359 miles long, beginning at Jct. SH 16 and 257
Northerly towards Windsor on State Highway No. 257 in the
County, and
WHEREAS, the said State Highway is part of the Federal Aid Secondary
System,
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with the Federal Aid Act of 1950, the
Parties have jointly reviewed the Geometric Standards governing the type of
construction for said Project and have agreed as follows:
That, the 1962 Annual Average Traffic Volume, as determined from actual
vehicular count, by the Planning and Research Division of the Department is found
to be 800 vehicles per day. Therefore, in accordance with approved and
established practices, the traffic volume twenty years hence is estimated to be
1680 vehicles per day. Consequently, the type of construction shall be that
designated as Type C of the Geometric Standards dated August 1, 1952, more fully
described as follows:
The surface shall consist of Plant Mix Asphalt , 22 1' feet
wide on a roadway 38 -1 feet wide. The maximum grade shall be 4.725 percent
and the curvature shall not exceed 4 degrees and 0 minutes. The rights of

Kxoevamcbcx Bridges and Separations shall have a design load of H-20 S-16. Those
structures having a length less than sixty (60) feet shall have a clear roadway
width, between curbs or wheel guards, of 2/ feet and those having a length
of sixty (60) feet and over shall have a clear roadway width of 30 feet.
This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the
Successors and assigns of the Parties Thereto.
This Agreement is executed with reference to the signatories on behalf
of the County by virtue of a Resolution passed at the meeting of the Board of
County Commissioners held on October 3, 1962 a certified copy of which is
attached hereto.

"RESOLVED; that this, Board hereby approves a certain Agreement with THE STATE
HIGHWAY COMMISSION OF COLORADO, a public corporation, for 'the use and benefit of
the DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS of the STATE OF COLORADO, dated October -3 , 19 62
whereby the County has reviewed and approved the Geometric Standards designated to
govern the construction of a Federal Aid -Secondary Project'to consist of
improvements on State Highway No. 257 , beginning at Jet SH 16 and 257.
Northerly towards Windsor , as per terms of said Agreement on behalf
of Weld County by signatures of the entire Board".
