Re: Congressionally Directed Spending request for the City of Evans Infrastructure Projects
Dear Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper,
The Weld County Commissioners request your support for the City of Evans' Congressionally Directed
Spending (CDS) application to assist the City in the construction of important public infrastructure
projects.
The projects include a critical expansion of the City's wastewater treatment plant, a waterline
replacement on the east and west sides of the U.S. 85 corridor, which includes a portion that goes under
U.S. 85 that will replace aging and failing waterlines, and two storm sewer projects that will mitigate
flooding in east Evans. CDS funding would help leverage the City's local funding to make sure these
critical infrastructure projects are completed in 2025.
Weld County supports this very important funding request and hopes you will partner with them to
improve the quality of life of Evans and Weld County residents. Thank you in advance for your
support.
Sincerely,
Kevin Ross, Chair
Weld County Board of Commissioners
