Gentlemen:
Enclosed is a letter to the Weld County Planning Commission
by Dr. R. E. Carroll stating that he will comply with Planning
Commission Regulations governing dairy operations.
We have been unable to find any specific requirements con-
cerning larger dairies, however, we ask that you give permission
to expand the operation as requested.
The nearest farm residence is 3/8ths mile from the proposed
dairy operation and to our knowledge, there is no resistence to
this proposal. We would appreciate your granting permission to
proceed at your earliest convenience.

Gentlemen:
We have contracted to purchase the Larry Franklin
farm located one mile north of Galeton, Colorado,
legally described as southwest quarter of sec. 29, Town—
ship 7 north, Range 64 west of the 6th PM.
At present we operate two dairies, one at Longmont
and the other at LaSalle which are leased properties.
We desire to put the whole operation together, now milking
540 cows, with a projection for 1,000 cows.
Our reasons for purchase of the property at Galeton
are as follows:
1. Availability of feed
2. Disposal of manure
3. Drainage
4. Self haul of milk to Meadow Gold in Evans
We will comply with the Planning Commission Regulations
governing this type of operation.
We plan to make our permanent home at Galeton.
X Sincerely, I
R.E.Carroll DVM
