RE: DISSOLVE CHANGE FUND AT WELD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR
SOUTHWEST SUBSTATION BOOKING UNIT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on July 12, 2021, the Board of Weld County Commissioners approved
Resolution #2021-1866 and granted the request to establish a Change Fund for the Weld County
Sheriff's Office for the Southwest Substation Booking Unit, in the amount of $500.00, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Sheriff's Office no longer has need for cash boxes, and
therefore, the fund is no longer necessary, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Interim Controller has recommended the Change Fund for
the Weld County Sheriff's Office for the Southwest Substation Booking Unit be dissolved and
transferred back to the General Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it
advisable and in the best interests of Weld County to approve said recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Interim Controller, be, and hereby is, authorized to
dissolve the Change Fund for the Weld County Sheriff's Office for the Southwest Substation
Booking Unit, in the amount of $500.00, and transfer the funds back into the General Fund.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 9th day of December, A.D., 2024.

Hello Chris,
Weld County Sheriff Office has currently a cash change drawer in the amount of $500 for the
Southwest Sub Station Booking area.
It has been determined that we will no longer need this change drawer in the foreseeable future.
We would like to return the cash to the Weld County Accounting Office.
