On November 20, 2024, the Colorado Air Pollution Control Division will begin a 30 -day public
comment period for Waste Management Disposal Services of Colorado, Inc. - North Weld
Landfill. A copy of this public notice is enclosed.
Thank you for assisting the division by posting a copy of this notice in your office. A public
copy of this notice is required by Colorado Air Quality Control Commission regulations. The
notice must be available for public inspection for a period of thirty (30) days from the
beginning of the public comment period. Please reference the public notice for instructions
on submitting comments.

Notice is hereby given that an application for a proposed project or activity has been submitted to
the Colorado Air Pollution Control Division for the following source of air pollution:
Applicant: Waste Management Disposal Services of Colorado, Inc.
Facility: North Weld Landfill
Municipal Solid Waste Landfill
40000 Weld County Road 25, Ault
Weld County
The proposed project or activity is as follows:
The applicant proposes to replace the existing utility flare with a larger enclosed flare and
increase the associated flare process limit from 632.45 MMScf/yr to 1576.8 MMScf/yr of landfill gas.
The division has determined that this permitting action is subject to public comment requirements
under Colorado Air Quality Control Commission Regulation Number 3, Part B, Section III.C due to
the following reason(s):
• the source is subject to control requirements under a Federal Maximum Available Control
Technology requirement for major sources
The division has made a preliminary determination of approval of the application.

A copy of the application, the division's analysis, and a draft of construction permit number

The division hereby solicits submission of public comments from any interested person concerning
the ability of the proposed project or activity to comply with the applicable standards and
regulations of the commission. The division will receive and consider written public comments for
thirty (30) calendar days after the date of this notice. Comments may be submitted using the
