In order to provide some more information on water and irrigation, we are willing to move the PC hearing to - 8/6 at 1:30
pm and the BOCC hearing to 8/21 at 10 am.

better understanding of their goals and to express my concerns about living next to the solar farm. I had a wish
list of asks that would be the bare minimum on what would be acceptable for ground cover greenery and overall
aesthetics. Part of my, and my neighbors', concerns are that this property doesn't become a neglected weed
patch. This property had water on it at one time and it has been sold off; therefore, we have negotiated a deal
with Pivot Energy to use my irrigation water and run it through subsurface drip tape on the property in question,
as well as myself becoming the Vegetation Manager for this project —having a direct hand in cultivating and
maintaining desired vegetation. Early this spring, after the town hall meeting, Pivot Energy contracted me to
remove the weeds, level the ground, and plant Smooth Brome grass on the property. This property has never
looked better since I have been its adjacent neighbor. Keep in mind, Pivot Energy spent their money up front,
without knowing if this project would ever come to fruition. I think this speaks to the character and integrity of
Pivot Energy as a company.
If all the moving parts come together with this project, I believe that this site will be something Weld County,
Pivot Energy, and our neighbors can be very proud of as an example of how industry, farming, and rural
residents can come together to reach a suitable goal for everyone.
