RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF JILL K. SCOTT AS WELD COUNTY CHIEF HUMAN
RESOURCES OFFICER (CHRO) AND DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Horne Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Human Resources, as an integral part of the
Department of Finance and Administration, in accordance with Section 4-2(B)(1-8) of the Weld
County Home Rule Charter, administers a system of employment policies, rules, job
classifications and compensation plan in accordance with generally accepted personnel
principals, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, effective
January 1, 2023, appointed Ryan Rose as the Director of Finance and Administration / Chief
Information Officer, and
WHEREAS, to accommodate the transition of Mr. Rose to the sole position of Chief
Information Officer, the Board now desires to appoint Jill K. Scott as the Weld County Chief
Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Director of Administration.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by Board of Weld County Commissioners that,
effective April 24, 2024, Jill K. Scott be, and hereby is, appointed as the Weld County Chief Human
Resources Officer (CHRO) and Director of Administration.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 24th day of April, A.D., 2024.
