A public hearing was conducted on February 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Kevin D. Ross, Chair
Commissioner Perry L. Buck, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Mike Freeman
Commissioner Scott K. James
Commissioner Lori Saine
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Jan Warwick
Deputy County Attorney, Karin McDougal
Department of Planning Services representative, Chris Gathman
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated December 21, 2023, and duly published
December 27, 2023, in the Greeley Tribune, a public hearing was conducted to consider the
request of Cervi Enterprises, Inc., c/o Kerr-McGee Oil and Gas Onshore, LP, for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit, USR23-0040, for a
190 -foot Telecommunication Antenna Tower in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. Karin McDougal,
Deputy County Attorney, made this a matter of record.
Ei Chris Gathman, Department of Planning Services, stated Weld County was closed due to
inclement weather on January 16, 2024, which was the date of the scheduled Planning
Commission hearing, therefore, the Planning Commission hearing was rescheduled to
February 6, 2024. He requested a continuance of the Board of County Commissioners per the
date determined by the applicant.
Matt Wells, Oxy.com, was present to represent the applicant. Chair Ross explained there will
only be three (3) Commissioners in attendance at the February 14, 2024, suggested date.
Mr. Wells requested the continuance to February 21, 2024, where all five (5) Commissioners are
expected to be in attendance.
There was no public input regarding the continuance request.
Commissioner James moved to continue the matter to February 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner Buck, and it carried unanimously. There being no further
discussion, the hearing was completed at 10:04 a.m.
