Your proposal for making the following changes has been accepted:
(Following changes are for Services Building, unless otherwise noted)
1. Provide and install a 3/4" exterior plywood cover plate over
"B.P.O.E." on Services Building with beveled edges and three
coats of enamel to match adjacent surface. Add - S 30.00
2. Provide and install one (1) 1 3/4" solid core flush wood door at
Boildr Room entrance from hallway in Services Building. Reuse
existing butts. Provide and install new 8037 lockset MK to
existing and 50 Series Sargent fusible link arm closer. Finish
door and frame as shown for doors in original contract.
3. Convert doors M to Blue Cross 211 to "Dutch" doors. Add z pr.
Add - 100.OD
butts per door to match specified and add one (1) surface bolt. - -Add - 60.00
4. In County Superintendent's Office 202 provide and install three
(3) new Type L pendant mounted fixtures including painted Wire -
mold connections. Also provide and install three (3) duplex
floor outlets, Wiremold service from floor below in locations
as directed by the Architect. Provide and install two (2)
additional floor outlets near south partition in Appraisal 310. - -Add - 310.00
5. Paint all surfaces in Vault Room 203 in accordance with re-
quirements of original specifications. Patch and paint all
presently painted surfaces in Toilet 206.
6. Install new storage area with doors and floor and ceiling Add - 151.00
over exterior to Vestibule 104 (Court House). _Refinish as
necessary to match exis ing.
7. Omit removal of existing floor tile and installation of new Add - 40.00
floor tile in Judges Chambers 207 and 210 (Court House). Do
not omit rubber base at new partitions. Confirm color for
base with Owner.
Deduct - 125.07

Re: Offices Remodeling for the Weld County Services Building
Gentlemen:
In my inspection of the Services Building today I observed some possible
structural damage to the stairs caused by the movers. While my sere ces
have mot been involved with any structural design or changes on the stairs
I believe you should be advised of the possibility of damage. The damage,
if any, cannot be assessed without removing the stair soffits for inspec-
tion. Solely as a precaution I have instructed Manion -Cropper to install
temporary shoring under the stairs pending a decision by you of whether
you desire us to undertake further investigation.
Our advice that moving be accomplished by lifting objects to the third floor
balcony by an outside lift and then moved through the building over planking
to the assigned locations was not followed. The stairs have carried much
greater than normal loads of people from the third floor assembly room when
it was used for the Elks meetings and are, in my opinion, more than capable
of serving the new needs providing structural damage has not been caused by
over -loading with equipment.
In addition, severe'damage has been caused by the movers to the new metal
nosing trim and stair covering that were installed by Manion -Cropper. It
is my recommendation that the nosinps and portions of the flooring be re-
placed.
Please advise me of any further action you want me to take on the stairs.
