Diana, We confirmed with Donnie Sharp that there are not any cross connections that would require additional backflow prevention. If there is a cross connection the District will have additional backflow protection requirements. If the applicant opts to plug and abandon the well within the next 30 days, no further action is needed to meet District requirements. Please have the applicant can reach out to me directly to discuss what connections exist, and schedule a site visit with a backflow technician if necessary. Sorry, the language in there should have said "rural land division" not "family farm division". If the applicant is not going to use well no. 299063 for household use since they will have a tap, then I agree the well should be plugged/abandoned (or re -permitted as a monitoring well in which case they must remove the pump). Please let me know if that answers your question. Regards, Wenli Dickinson, P.E. Item 2. states, "The well must continue to be used in accordance with its permitted terms and conditions." This is a Rural Land Division and not a Family Farm Division and also I don't know which one is the Existing Well but if it is 299063 then that well permit allows for "...household purposes inside one single family dwelling. The ground water shall not be used for irrigation or other purposes." Since the source of potable water for the residence is required to be CWCWD (and is CWCWD) and the well cannot be used "used in accordance with its permitted terms and conditions" it seems advisable to close this well. Additionally, 127819-A is for "ordinary household purposes inside not more than 1 single family dwelling, the irrigation of not more than 1 acre of home gardens and lawns and the 2 Weld County Referral Y October 31, 2023 Submit by Email The Weld County Department of Planning Services has received the following item for review: Applicant: Sharp Trust and 21842-52, LLC Case Number: RLDF23-0002 Please Reply By: November 17, 2023 Planner: Diana Aungst Project: Rural Land Division Final Plan for the creation of three (3) Lots in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. He has 3 houses that are currently on a single property. He is simply putting lot lines around existing houses. There is no actual physical construction planned, with the exception, that we may have to put in an internal access road but we are hoping that can be avoided. The properties do not require any additional gas services. The properties will still adjoin CR 52 so any future gas services would be able to be routed that way also. Reaching out to you is a requirement of the RLD process however and an email back from you that this RLD is acceptable to you is really all we need at this point. Here is a draft of the proposed plat. Please let me know if you have any issues or questions. Thanks Jerry!
