The Weld County Board of Health met on November 26, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in the second -floor
hearing room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and by via
Microsoft Teams.
Those present included:
Board Members: Doug Printz, Anthony Gallardo, Aron Lam, Lonnie Ford, Michael Wailes, Linda
Kautz, Bree Lukens, and Jeff Reck.
Others: Katie Sall and Lauren Light from Environmental Health, Annette Odell, Public Health
Practitioner, Weld County Department of Public Health and environment.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM. A motion was made by Bree Lukens to approve the
agenda. Doug Printz seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The board approved the minutes of the October 28, 2024, meeting. A motion was made to approve
by Bree Lukens, Doug Printz seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously.

No public comment or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends approval.

Annette Odell, Public Health Practitioner, Weld County Department of Public Health and
Environment presented information about Family Planning, Family planning services offered by
Weld County are confidential, services provided without regard to religion, race, color, national
origin, disability, age, sex, number of pregnancies, or marital status. Weld County Health
Department Statement of Work is to reduce unintended pregnancy by ensuring access to quality
reproductive health services to all Coloradans. Services we offer include, but are not limited to,
contraceptive services, preventative health counseling and education, reproductive health related
testing, screening and referrals. Priority is given to clients with incomes at or below 250% of the
Federal Poverty Level including adolescents.
We currently have two clinics located in Greeley and Ft. Lupton, services we offer are many birth
control methods like OCPs, LARCs, Nuva Ring, Depo Injection, Barrier methods. Pregnancy
confirmation and referral, Natural family planning method counseling, Annual exams for women,
Immunizations, Pap/HPV testing, STI testing, and Genetic Screening and testing for high -risk cancer
genes. All services are on sliding fee scale based on income, same day appointments, bilingual staff
and language line, connections to other services, knowledgeable staff -NPs, RNs, Mas.
Other services that we offer are STI testing and treatment, Opt out HIV and syphilis testing,
mammogram referrals, Immunizations, Diabetes and cholesterol screening, and we have a social
worker on staff.

Lauren Light thanked to the members that participated all this year, Happy Holidays. See you all
