This letter is in response to the letter: dated February 16, 2024, for a Surety Reduction
Request for Greeley 35th Ave Pit File No. M-1977-036, Martin Marietta Materials, Inc.
Weld County requires that gravel pit owner submit' a HEC RAS or other floodplain -analysis
showing No Rise or if there is a rise greater than 0.00 or a decrease of 0.3' then a Letter of
Map Revision (LOMR) will need to be submitted to FEMA with a copy of the LOMR
application to sent to Weld County.

Please be advised that on February 16, 2024, Martin Marietta Materials, Inc., whose address and telephone
number are 1800 N. Taft Hill Road, Fort Collins, CO 80521; (970) 227-4041, filed an application for a/an
Surety Reduction Request (SR- 1) to M1977036, Greeley 35th Ave Pit, which is located approximately 0.5
miles North of Greely, Section 35, Township 6N, Range 66W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Weld County.
Surety reduction was requested to reduce the surety by $2,591,735 for the completion and obtaining DWR
approval of the West Cell Reservoir
The application decision is scheduled for April 16, 2024. Written comments or objections to the application
may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Brock F. Bowles at the Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303)
866-3567 x 8142.
Comments or objections should be submitted within fifteen (15) days of this notice to be considered in the

Consideration Martin Marietta Materials, Inc., Greeley 35th Ave Pit, Permit No. M-1977-036
Please be advised that on July 15, 2014, Martin Marietta Materials, Inc., whose address and telephone
number are 1800 N. Taft Hill Road, Fort Collins, CO 80521; (970) 227-4041, filed an Amendment
application to M-1977-036, Greeley 35th Ave Pit, which is located at or near Section 35, Township 6N,
Range 66W, 06th Prime Meridian, in Weld County. The application decision is scheduled for October 13,
2014.
A copy of the application is available for review, unless you receive a CD, at the Weld County Clerk &
Recorder's office and at the office of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215, 1313
Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203.
If you desire to make comments or objections of the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be
submitted within twenty (20) days of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the
application review process by the Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication
date. If we do not receive your comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the
Office will assume you have no objection or comment to the proposed activity.
