Bids were reviewed for on -call Erosion Control and Revegetation Services. Six firms participated, and all
six firms met specifications.
The project solicitation utilized line -item costs and was based on estimated project scopes for calendar
year 2024. This methodology provided an apples -to -apples comparison of costs to determine the low
bidders. Since the projects have not been fully designed or identified yet, the recommendation is to award
to the low bidders with a not to exceed cost for the calendar year. Once each project or non -planned
erosion response or need is developed, a task order will be issued under this master contract.
Public Works is recommending awarding the on -call Erosion Control and Revegetation Services to the
two lowest bidders: Verdant Environmental and Tasman Geosciences, with contracts totaling
$400,000.00 and $100,000.00 respectively. These amounts are within the budgeted amounts for on -call
Erosion Control and Revegetation Services.
This recommendation will ensure one of the firms will be available and can meet the schedule when
services are requested.
