WELD COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS
I fully support Gradient Geothermal's proposal of a pre -feasibility study of the Pierce Field for a
direct use, thermal network for the town of Pierce, Colorado.
I am proud to express support for initiatives similar to the pre -feasibility study proposed by
Gradient Geothermal for the Pierce Field project in Colorado.
The dormant Pierce Field, with its untapped geothermal potential, presents a remarkable
opportunity for our community and the state at large. Projects aiming to harness geothermal
energy from such sources align with other commitments our communities have made for
environmental stewardship and sustainable energy generation.
I believe that supporting initiatives like these not only benefits our local economy but also sets an
example for comprehensive energy use, reduces emissions, and fosters community engagement.
As the Weld County Commissioner, I am dedicated to encouraging and facilitating projects that
promote economic and energy development within our county and I believe this initiative will
help Weld County enhance its leadership portfolio in the energy sector.
Sincerely,
Lori Saine
Weld County Commissioner
