Meeting Minutes
- Attendees: Shawn Walcott, Becky Gligo, Karin Crandall, Dorian Jenkins, Scott James,
Ernest Cienfuegos -Baca, Kyle Holman, Kim Longworth, Holly Darby, Juliana Kitten,
- Call to Order 4:34 by Shawn Walcott
- Action Item -Approval of August 21s Meeting Minutes -
o Karin motion to approve, 2' from Kyle - no one oppose - Motion passed
- Discussion - Update on SGR Executive Recruitment and interim ED search
o 5 interviews, one stand -out candidate, 2' interview is scheduled for Friday morning
and a tour of the office and meeting with the staff. Dorian brought up questions
about having the candidate meet the staff, Karin stated that a staff member would
be taking the candidate on a tour as the staff would hold the best knowledge of the
properties. Discussion on small staff, don't feel it is an issue with candidate
meeting the staff as a candidate. Candidate served on previous housing authorities
in Ft Lupton and Cheyenne and currently works for HUD. Born and raised in Weld
County. Very good resume, a lot of experience. Aware of the reps we are working
with at HUD. Very little down time and would be able to hit the ground running when
Dorian and Becky leave.
Board Reports — Becky and Dorian — see attached.
o Celebrating what staff has buckled down to get completed. October should be the
last month we have anything that is behind. Using rent reasonableness software

which is helping with negotiating rents with landlords. This is becoming a win for
staff. No vacancies in public housing, everyone is matched and working to move in.
Current on annuals for public housing. Seeing more accountability with the
maintenance staff, still a bit leery of technology, but working to overcome the
obstacles. Some staff really wanted leadership and have taken it upon themselves
to really learn and work. Once Becky and Dorian's contract ends, would like to
provide us a detailed list of staff and their recommendations. Tom was previously
taking care of HR. Anita is now doing the HR tasks. Becky and Dorian are working on
job descriptions and personnel manuals.
- Executive Session -for the purpose of receiving legal advice on specific legal questions
regarding the topic of demand for payment of wages.
o Motion to close executive session by Julianna, second by Karin, no opposition,
motion passed.
- Schedule a special session meeting to discuss findings for the employment issues. 4:30 on
Wednesday the 11th at the Housing Authority and virtually. Shawn will get the public notice
posted and Becky will send an invite.
- Adjourn - motion by Kyle, second by Karin, no opposition, motion passed meeting
adjourned at 5:36 pm.
